Refer-A-Friend Checking Account Offer:


The person making the referral (Referrer) will earn a $50 Visa® Reward Card for each individual referred to United Federal Credit Union who opens a new UFCU checking account and completes the other requirements within the time specified in the offer emailed to the referred person. To make a referral, the Referrer must submit a valid email address for both the Referrer and each referred person. Additionally, to earn the $50 Visa® Reward Card, the Referrer must be the first person to submit a valid email address for the referred person. Only one $50 Visa® Reward Card will be issued for the referred person. A Member may receive up to ten (10) Reward Cards ($500 value) within a calendar year.


To earn a $50 Visa® Reward Card, the referred person must open a new United Federal Credit Union checking account* and complete one of the following requirements within 60 days after account opening:

  • Have one recurring payroll or government direct deposit of at least $250, OR
  • Complete ten (10) signature debit card transactions

Convenience, Interest Plus or Platinum Plus checking account required to earn Reward Card; $50 minimum deposit required to open. One recurring payroll or government direct deposit of $250 or more and 10 cleared signature (swipe and sign, Non-PIN) debit card transactions required to earn Reward Card. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Offer valid only for first checking account opened with UFCU. Qualifying activities must post to your account by 6:00 PM before the 60th day from checking account opening. Must be 18 years or older. Account must be open and in good standing at the time of qualification to receive the Reward Card. Reward Card will be mailed within 4 to 6 weeks of qualification. Current UFCU Members may earn Reward Cards as a Referrer by referring your friends or family, but current checking account holders are not eligible to earn Reward Cards as a Referee by opening or using a new checking account. Total Reward Cards limited to $500 per Member per calendar year. Employees of United Federal Credit Union, volunteer officials, and their immediate families and household members are not eligible to receive Reward Cards.

Each Reward Card amount may be reported to the IRS, state, and local tax authorities if required by applicable law. Recipient is responsible for any federal, state, and/or local taxes on reward items.
